I work with couples who care deeply about how their day feels — and trust that beautiful images will follow.

You care about creating beautiful, meaningful photos—but you also want to actually be in the moment. You want your day (or session) to feel relaxed, effortless, and true to you.

Whether you’re eloping, planning an intimate wedding, or updating your couples portraits, my goal is to capture the real, unfiltered moments alongside the gorgeous, intentional shots you’ll love.

I work with couples who want their day (or session) to feel genuine and relaxed, while still capturing beautiful, meaningful moments.

As a story-driven photographer based in Madison, Wisconsin — and always ready to travel — my favorite days feel intentional and unhurried. Days where you get to actually enjoy the moment, and the photos reflect all the real stuff: the quiet, the joy, the connection.

You’re My Kind of Couple If…

  • You crave an intimate wedding day surrounded by forests, lakes, or mountain views

  • You want a day in nature, not in a city hall or indoor venue

  • You want a day that feels effortless, mindful, and truly yours

  • You’re excited to pause, connect, and capture authentic moments in natural light

  • You’re celebrating with just your person, or your closest loved ones

Support Beyond the Camera

No matter how much (or how little) you’ve planned so far—whether your date is a year out or just a few weeks away—I’ll meet you right where you’re at with guidance that feels personal and approachable.

Think of me as more than just someone showing up with a camera. I’m here to help you feel at ease—from brainstorming elopement activities, suggesting meaningful ways to spend your day, and sharing ideas for ceremony locations, to building a flexible photo-friendly timeline that keeps the focus on you two.

I’m not here to plan every detail for you, but I’ll be in your corner to answer questions, offer resources, and make the process feel less overwhelming. From our first email to your final gallery, my goal is that you feel supported and never alone in the process—so your celebration stays intentional, stress-free, and true to you.

Why I Love Photographing Smaller, Intentional Days in Nature

When you strip it back to just the people who matter most, the emotion is undeniable. Small celebrations let every laugh, hug, and glance carry real weight. There’s room to breathe, to soak in the day, and to be fully present in the moments that matter most.

Add in a setting that feels grounding — maybe a quiet forest, a lakeside breeze, or the open air of the mountains — and you’ve got yourself a wedding day you’ll want to relive forever.

An intentional guest list means your day can unfold naturally. There’s no pressure to entertain a large crowd or keep up with a rigid schedule. Instead, you get to focus on each other, on the people who matter, and on creating memories that feel authentic.

These are the kinds of days that let you be fully present — where your attention isn’t pulled in a hundred directions, and where the emotion you feel is real, not rushed. And those are the moments I want to capture for you. The ones you’ll actually remember, because you were in them — not performing for them.

Elopements

Take your time, chase the light, share a picnic, hike to a favorite view — whatever feels most like you — without the pressure of a traditional timeline. Coverage begins at 4 hours. Best for wedding days with around 10 guests or less.

I specialize in outdoor elopements surrounded by nature — forests, lakes, mountaintops, or anywhere that feels grounding and true to you. If you’re planning a Capitol-style or primarily indoor day, I might not be the best fit. My heart is in documenting laid-back, nature-filled days where you can truly breathe and just be present together.

Intimate weddings let you keep your day relaxed and intentional while including only the people who matter most to you two. A smaller guest list gives you the freedom to skip traditional large wedding venues and choose meaningful locations, from charming Airbnbs to breathtaking parks and natural spaces, any location that feels true to you.
