I went to college here, fell in love with this community, and when my husband and I started talking about where we actually wanted to put down roots, Fort Collins was never really a question. We are relocating from Wisconsin in August 2026 and I could not be more ready to come home.

Horsetooth Reservoir
Horsetooth is the kind of place that Fort Collins people feel a deep personal ownership over. The water, the hogback, the trails running along the shoreline. It is where people come to decompress, to celebrate, to just exist in the open air. For a couple who has spent years of their relationship out here, getting married at Horsetooth is not a location choice. It is a homecoming.
Lory State Park
Just over the dam from Horsetooth, Lory has a quieter and more tucked away feeling. Ponderosa pines, rolling foothills, open meadows with the mountains just beyond. It feels removed from everything in a way that suits a small intimate ceremony beautifully. For couples who want genuine solitude and the sense of being surrounded by nature without driving an hour into the mountains, Lory is the answer.
Poudre Canyon
Drive north out of Fort Collins and the canyon opens up around you with the Cache la Poudre River rushing alongside the road. It is a completely different landscape from the reservoir and the foothills, wilder and more dramatic, with cottonwoods lining the banks and canyon walls rising on both sides. For couples who want moving water and rugged scenery, Poudre Canyon does not ask you to drive to the mountains. It brings the mountains to you.
